veritas Problem:

Error message seen when running "vxdisk list" after BCVs had been presented to a system:

VxVM vxdisk ERROR V-5-1-684 IPC failure:Configuration daemon is not
accessible.

It transpired that vxconfigd had core dumped.

Error Message
A change to the hostname had been made recently, and the core dump was also seen via this same sequence:

# vxconfigd -k
# vxconfigd -r reset
# vxdctl init <hostname>
